About Us
Located in the heart of Barcelona, FotoNostrum stands as a Photography Center and Art Gallery. Established on March 4, 2020, our journey was momentarily halted by a lockdown. After 15 months, we reopened with the poignant "Melancholia" exhibition, followed by the awe-inspiring "Around the World in 80 Images" by Steve McCurry. Then we contInued with ’Private Property’ ‘by Helmut Newton, Richard Avedon Behind the Scenes’ by Gideon Lewin, ‘Les Temps Rétrouvé’ by Robert Doisneau, and the largest retrospective ever of the PIrelli Calendar (1964-2023) featuring works by 41 photographers including Peter Lindbergh, Annie Leibovitz, Sarah Moon, and Richard Avedon. Our 9,800-square-foot space with 230 linear meters of wall exudes creativity. And we're not just an exhibition venue, but an art gallery too, displaying works of emerging talents and fostering engagement.
As we continuously evolve to encompass the ever-changing artistic landscape, we're now at the forefront of exploring the dynamic synergy between artificial intelligence (AI) and photography. This exciting intersection allows us to push the boundaries of creativity, offering a fresh perspective on visual arts. AI opens doors to innovative techniques, enhancing the creation, curation, and appreciation of imagery in unprecedented ways.
Our dedication to marrying tradition with technological innovation is embodied in our commitment to feature AI-enhanced works alongside traditional exhibitions. We believe this synthesis empowers artists to amplify their narratives and expand their horizons, while audiences are invited to experience art in novel dimensions.
